President Nazar Amedi, on Tuesday, welcomed the positions and steps of the Coordinating Framework aimed at consolidating state authority and enhancing its sovereignty. In a statement, Amedi commended the Coordinating Framework's meeting outcomes, which included stances and measures supporting the
establishment of state foundations and strengthening its sovereignty. He also welcomed and backed the initiative by Qais Khazali, Secretary-General of Asa'ib Ahl al-Haq, to disassociate from Popular Mobilization Forces formations and emphasize restricting arms exclusively to the state. He noted
these steps align with constitutional and legal provisions, contributing to enhanced national security and stability. The President affirmed that the state's power and prestige are embodied in its constitutional and legal institutions. He stressed that any measures supporting this reinforce
state-building, the rule of law, and citizens' trust in their institutions, consistent with the constitution, prevailing laws, and directives of the Supreme Religious Authority.
