The Pope of the Vatican, Leo XIV, expressed his confidence that God will grant Iraqis blessing, prosperity, and peace.
The Presidency of the Republic stated in a statement received by (Al-Rabaa) that "the President of the Republic, Nezar Amidi, received a congratulatory cable from the Pope of the Vatican, Leo XIV, in which he extended to the President of
the Republic his warmest congratulations and best wishes on the occasion of assuming the office of President of the Republic."
The statement added that "the Pope expressed in his congratulations his confidence that God would grant the President steadfastness and wisdom for the good of the people, praying that He bestow upon him and all Iraqis blessing, prosperity, and peace."
