Esmail Qaani, Commander of the Quds Force in Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps, stated that a potential funeral for Iran's Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, in Iraq would underscore the deep bonds between the two peoples. Qaani emphasized that extensive preparations for
this historic event would fortify the peoples' resolve in confronting what he termed "American seditions." He further noted that the ceremonies in Iraq would be akin to those held for martyrs Qassem Soleimani and Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis.
