Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein affirmed on Friday Iraq's stance against war, its continuation, and its regional expansion. Hussein disclosed the presence of pressures on the country to draw it into the ongoing conflict. He noted that Iraq has suffered material
and human casualties, approximately 200 victims, due to the region's current events. He also highlighted that Baghdad has not exported oil since the commencement of military operations. Furthermore, the Minister stressed Iraq's commitment to strong relations with Gulf states, condemning
any attacks targeting them. He expressed Iraq's readiness for security cooperation and information exchange with these nations. Concerning the state's monopoly on weapons, Hussein declared that three factions have already begun surrendering their arms, while the position of Kata'ib Hezbollah
and Harakat Al-Nujaba on this matter remains undecided.
