Russia's Rosatom has positioned itself as the sole experienced partner capable of resolving the uranium dispute between Tehran and Washington. This Russian move aims to bridge the gap following President Trump’s statements about "recovering" nuclear materials left behind after last year’s strikes on Iranian facilities. Trump emphasized that the U.S. would start "quietly" working with Iran to bring the materials to American soil.
However, the diplomatic path remains blocked as Tehran recently rejected new talks via Pakistani intermediaries, citing the U.S. naval blockade and "excessive" demands. The Iranian Foreign Ministry reiterated that its nuclear file is a matter of national sovereignty, leaving both Russian mediation and Trump's extraction plans in a state of high-stakes deadlock without any financial or security guarantees.
