Home Global Tehran Denies New Negotiation Response to US, Contradicting Trump's Claims

Tehran has denied sending any new response to the United States on nuclear negotiations in recent days, contradicting statements by US President Donald Trump. An Iranian news agency reported Trump previously announced "the situation with Iran is progressing rapidly and

will go very well," claiming "Iranians say negotiations are under approval within Iran." Conversely, information obtained by the same agency indicates Iran has not provided any response to the Americans concerning the draft understanding over recent days. It has also practically

suspended text exchanges via mediators, citing crimes committed by Israel in Lebanon, pending fulfillment of conditions set by Tehran regarding the Lebanese file. Thus, Trump's claim that Iran is approving this matter is detached from reality, the agency affirmed. Tehran and

the "Axis of Resistance" emphasized they would not remain silent regarding Israeli crimes in Lebanon. Earlier today, Wednesday, Trump also declared Iran agreed not to possess nuclear weapons, noting Iran's Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, is involved in nuclear negotiations with

the United States. The US President did not rule out meeting Khamenei, stating: "I may meet with Mojtaba Khamenei at some point." Trump further added on his "Truth Social" platform that "some say Mojtaba Khamenei agrees with what is being

discussed," re-affirming "Iran has agreed not to possess nuclear weapons."
