to attempt transferring its crew to another civilian ship post-attack. Vanguard Maritime Security reported earlier today that the Panama-flagged container ship "Vila Nova" was hit by a helicopter-launched missile. The strike occurred while the ship sailed westbound through the Gulf
of Oman, about 71 nautical miles off Pakistan's coast. Vanguard's initial report stated the missile caused a fire onboard, subsequently extinguished, confirming all 17 crew members were safe. Three Indian sailors were killed last June during a prior US operation
