Prime Minister Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi participated today, Tuesday, in the German-Iraqi Dialogue Forum held in the German capital, Berlin, under the theme "Economic Bridges for a Shared Future." Al-Zaidi met with a group of businessmen and representatives of major German
companies. During the forum, the Prime Minister affirmed that Iraq is currently shaping the features of a new economy and striving to build a promising economic identity, which necessitates productive partnerships to bolster the development path. He noted that the country
enjoys political and economic stability and operates under a democratic system that supports institutional work. Al-Zaidi underscored the numerous commonalities between Iraq and Germany, a leading industrial nation, expressing the Iraqi government's aspiration for cooperation across various fields and sectors. He
presented Iraq's extensive investment map, which encompasses vital sectors such as energy, oil and petrochemical industries, phosphates, clean energy, as well as the pharmaceutical industries and support for government programs in automation. He also outlined the government's comprehensive plans centered on
implementing a package of financial, tax, and banking reforms aimed at enhancing the investment environment and supporting sustainable economic growth. Concluding his participation, the Prime Minister extended an invitation to German companies to invest in Iraq, affirming the government's readiness
to provide the necessary investment climate and overcome any potential obstacles. He clarified that the Iraqi investment law offers broad facilities and guarantees for investors.
