Albudaiwi: Gulf security coordination continues to confront Revolutionary Guard cells and all terrorism

Interior ministers of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries held an emergency meeting Wednesday, chaired by Bahraini Interior Minister General Sheikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, with the participation of the GCC Secretary-General at the council's secretariat in Riyadh. GCC Secretary-General Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi stated that the meeting discussed several topics, primarily the regional security situation following current events, and ways to enhance joint Gulf security coordination to address challenges resulting from attacks on member states, emphasizing that the security of GCC countries is indivisible. Albudaiwi said ministers stressed the importance of doubling coordination between interior ministries and relevant authorities following the arrest of cells linked to the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, and confronting everything targeting the security and stability of member states, addressing the consequences of current developments, and combating all types of terrorism. Albudaiwi also noted that ministers praised the "great and valuable efforts of security agencies in Gulf countries in detecting and seizing these cells," confirming that "this achievement reflects the efficiency and vigilance of Gulf security agencies and their high readiness to protect the security and stability of the council countries."
