A new round of Lebanese-Israeli negotiations began on Thursday at the US State Department headquarters in Washington, after the arrival of both the Lebanese and Israeli delegations, according to the National News Agency. In addition, Hebrew media quoted an Israeli
source on Thursday evening as saying that the round of negotiations between Israel and Lebanon, mediated by the United States, started minutes ago. This round comes within the framework of negotiations led by Washington between the two sides of the
conflict, in an attempt to reach understandings that would reduce tensions on Israel's northern borders and establish a more stable political and security mechanism toward Lebanon.
