Government Moves to Diversify Export Outlets and Meet Local Market Demand for Gas and Oil Products

 The Ministry of Oil announced a new strategy to diversify export outlets for crude and black oil, confirming that the return of production will enable Iraq to meet local market demand for liquid and dry gas. The ministry noted that loading two million barrels onto a giant tanker in Basra marks the beginning of a new phase of economic recovery. The government seeks to capitalize on the international maritime breakthrough to consolidate local energy security and support national production of oil derivatives to serve the public interest.
