Israeli opposition leader Yair Lapid has warned that voting for the current prime minister would result in a violent, isolated, and globally disliked state. Lapid stated on the "X" platform that Netanyahu's campaign urges voters to support him in exchange
for a state facing isolation, violence, and a collapsing economy, with expected sanctions causing sharp price increases and the loss of the military alliance with the United States. He also noted that the Haredim would not be conscripted, and that
Defense Minister Deri would receive substantial funding. In contrast, Lapid presented his vision, saying his campaign aims to build a successful, prosperous state loved internationally, with an effective and honest government, plans to boost the economy and support productive sectors,
and a renewed security alliance with the U.S. He affirmed that the Haredim would serve militarily and that Deri would not be part of the government. The Israeli parliamentary elections are scheduled for October 27, with the new government to
be formed based on the results. It is noted that the current government led by Netanyahu was formed at the end of 2022, and that Netanyahu has served six non-consecutive terms as prime minister since 1996, making him the longest-serving
leader in this position since the state's establishment in 1948.
