An oil tanker was disabled off the coast of Oman in the early hours of Tuesday after being struck by an unknown projectile. The UK Maritime Operations Authority reported that the incident occurred approximately nine nautical miles northeast of Shinas.
The authority clarified that the strike caused damage to the vessel's engine room. While confirming that the tanker's crew is safe, the environmental impact of the incident remains unclear at this time.
