US Vice President J.D. Vance stated on Friday that "significant misinformation" is circulating about a potential agreement to reopen the Strait of Hormuz and end Iran's nuclear weapons program. Vance emphasized that Iran would not receive any cash, and no
funds would be released simply for signing an agreement or attending a meeting. In a post on the "X" platform, Vance clarified that "the agreement is designed to prioritize the concerns of the United States and its allies." He added
that "if Iran fulfills its commitments, economic benefits will flow to it and the entire region." He viewed this agreement as having "the potential to reshape the region and lead to lasting peace." Vance criticized what he termed "two strange
paradoxes" in recent media coverage. He noted that some individuals who praised US President Donald Trump as a "historical president" just a month ago are now criticizing the agreement based on unconfirmed media reports. He further stated that "the second
paradox is that there are those who question the credibility of any statement from the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps, yet simultaneously believe social media posts based on anonymous sources." Vance concluded by asserting that President Trump "will achieve a positive
outcome for us, regardless of the circumstances."
