US President Donald Trump, speaking before the United Nations General Assembly on Tuesday, declared that the United States had "returned" and was stronger than ever before. He asserted that the nation's economy garnered global admiration and that its military stood
as the most powerful on Earth. Trump highlighted that American technology was unparalleled and that his country led in almost every field, with its energy contributing to global supply. Continuing his address on America's standing, the US President stated: "America is
rising, our nation is growing, our power is expanding, our country is in a better position than ever before, and our future is very bright." Regarding the Iranian issue, Trump indicated he faced a "major decision" between reaching an agreement allowing
Iran to rebuild itself or "swiftly eliminating the Islamic Republic." However, he suggested that a deal was likely to be concluded after the US midterm elections, believing that Tehran was awaiting the outcomes of that vote. Trump accused Iran of violating
the agreed-upon ceasefire in the "Memorandum of Understanding" by carrying out what he described as "terrorist acts" targeting civilian vessels belonging to other nations. In this context, he thanked the UN Security Council for approving a resolution condemning Iranian attacks
on commercial ships, noting that this resolution had the broadest sponsorship from member states compared to any previous Council resolution, and called for continued pressure on Tehran. The US President also mentioned that the American Navy had escorted over a billion
barrels of oil through the Strait of Hormuz, and that oil flows had risen to their highest level since the war began, with between 22 and 37 vessels escorted daily. During his speech, the US President urged all nations to participate
in imposing a "complete economic isolation" on Iran, aiming to compel it to halt its attacks on commercial ships, abandon its nuclear ambitions, and cease its support for terrorism. Concerning military operations against Iran, Trump stated that "Operation Epic Fury" resulted
in the sinking of all 159 Iranian Navy vessels, along with the destruction of Tehran's air and defense capabilities. He added that the Iranian Air Force, radar systems, and anti-aircraft equipment "no longer exist," while missile and drone manufacturing capabilities
were almost entirely decimated. President Trump observed that the Iranian economy had collapsed, with inflation surpassing 300%. He asserted that his administration had offered Tehran "every opportunity" to reach an agreement before resorting to military action to ensure it would not
acquire nuclear cover for large-scale attacks. In a related context, Trump accused Iran of funding the perpetrators of the October 7 attack on Israel, an assault that claimed 1,200 lives, including dozens of Americans. He also leveled accusations against Iranian authorities
for killing over 72,000 of their own citizens during the current year, including 10,000 during recent protests. President Trump reiterated his pledge not to allow Tehran to acquire nuclear weapons, asserting that Iran "is no longer the bully of the Middle
East." He described Iran as the "foremost sponsor of terrorism," accusing the Iranian regime of spreading "death and chaos" across the Middle East and beyond. The US President stated that, upon taking office last year, he initiated negotiations with Iran and
offered comprehensive economic cooperation in exchange for ending its nuclear program and ceasing its support for terrorism, but the offer was rejected. Trump mentioned that the US military "destroyed" Iran's nuclear program during "Operation Midnight Hammer" (June 2025 war), noting that
he had again called on Tehran to conclude a deal, but it refused. He accused Iran of continuing to build a large stockpile of missiles and drones, threatening US military personnel and regional countries, in addition to developing a missile capable
of reaching Europe. He alleged that Tehran sought to possess a nuclear bomb under the protection of an arsenal of conventional ballistic missiles. In another part of his speech, US President Donald Trump called on nations worldwide to withdraw from the
International Criminal Court, emphasizing that his country does not recognize it. He stressed that the United States "will not allow its military personnel to be investigated or subjected" to what he termed "sham trials" before a court "hostile to America
and lacking jurisdiction over it." Trump criticized UN human rights officials for their condemnation of his country's policies regarding transgender procedures for children and immigration law enforcement. He also accused the Human Rights Council of "hypocrisy" and "not paying sufficient attention
to the persecution of Christians worldwide." Regarding peace efforts, Trump announced that approximately 30 countries had joined the "Peace Council," which he chairs. He thanked the Security Council for unanimously approving the 20-point Gaza peace plan and for officially endorsing the
establishment of the Council. He clarified that several countries had provided billions of dollars to fund Gaza's relief and reconstruction, noting that these funds would go directly to needy areas and entities, and that other nations were preparing to offer additional
contributions to support humanitarian needs. Trump also thanked the countries that had pledged to provide troops, police officers, and training programs to help stabilize Gaza. President Trump concluded his speech by affirming that the United States now holds "permanent security control"
over Greenland, adding: "We will immediately begin a process of significantly strengthening our military presence in appropriate locations, and we will build two very large military bases."
