Ashraf Zaki, head of the Egyptian Actors Syndicate, announced the death of actor Mohamed El-Tagy at 72, following a severe health crisis. Funeral prayers for the deceased were held Monday at Al-Thawra Mosque in Nasr City, Cairo. The Egyptian actor had

recently undergone delicate surgery for severe spinal pain, which impaired his ability to walk normally and caused him to stoop. This required medical examinations, followed by abdominal surgery to remove fatty masses. Previously, El-Tagy had undergone another abdominal surgery for

a hernia, preceded by three consecutive operations, all negatively impacting his health. Mohamed El-Tagy, born in Cairo on April 28, 1954, was the grandson of the late acclaimed artist Abdel Waress Asser. He delivered prominent roles in dozens of films, TV

series, and plays. His notable works include the play "Al-Mutazawwijun" with Samir Ghanem and Sherine, the film "Al-Mutarid" with Nour El-Sherif and Soheir Ramzy, the series "Al-Bashayer" with Mahmoud Abdel Aziz, and "Hadaiq Al-Shaytan" with Jamal Soleiman. His more recent

appearances featured in series like "Mulook Al-Gad'ana", "Al-Aghar", "Al-Atawla", and "Al-Le'ba".
