Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian affirmed Tuesday that his nation will continue "with full force" its resistance to defend its rights and deter "aggressors," signaling a less conciliatory stance. Pezeshkian, in statements on "X," emphasized Iran's consistent opposition to war, believing

regional security hinges on avoiding conflict, but stated it would steadfastly resist to protect its people. These declarations arise amid an escalating crisis over the Strait of Hormuz between Washington and Tehran, with no immediate resolution in sight. Iran recently threatened

the U.S. with "economic war" and claimed launching an advanced missile at American warships, indicating potential escalation after recent exchanges of strikes. The six-month-long confrontations have alternated between calm and escalatory waves. The latest U.S. attacks, announced Saturday, targeted three Iranian

oil tankers. Conversely, official Iranian media reported Sunday that Iran retaliated by launching a "Qassem Basir" missile at several American ships. In a related development, Iran previously pledged to announce a new restricted maritime zone and new shipping lane maps for

the Strait of Hormuz; however, details and timing for this disclosure remain unclear. Meanwhile, U.S. President Donald Trump commented via social media, predicting that "oil prices will fall sharply like everything else falls (even more!) when we win the war with

Iran." He added that the price per gallon would become three dollars, then two dollars less, asserting "all that will happen quickly, and Iran will never have a nuclear weapon."
