Vladimir Oblast, Russia, Yuri Tsurilo was a prominent artistic figure. He started his working life early; at fourteen, he was in construction, then a blacksmith two years later. During this period, he nurtured his passion for acting through participation in
drama circles. He later attended the Yaroslavl Theatre Institute, graduating in 1973 as a "drama theatre actor." Following graduation, Tsurilo performed in several esteemed theaters, including the Novgorod Regional Drama Theatre and venues in Gorky, Novosibirsk, and Norilsk. From 1993 to
2004, he was a key member of the historic Alexandrinsky Theatre troupe in Saint Petersburg. His cinematic career began in 1998 with a notable role in Aleksei German's film "Khrustalyov, My Car!". Tsurilo appeared in over 140 films and television series.
His most notable cinematic works include: "Priest" (2009), "Faust" (2014), "The Idiot" (2014), "Hard to Be a God" (2013), "The Last Warrior" (2017), and "In August 1944." On television, he was recognized for his role in the series "Bandit Petersburg." In
